Returns and refunds policy

Welcome to Modern Britwear. We offer a range of men's and women's clothing including jackets, shirts, trousers, and other fashion items. Your satisfaction matters to us. This policy sets out how returns and refunds are handled for our customers.

Right of Cancellation

As a consumer, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 30 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason.

To begin the cancellation process, simply send us a written notice at info@modernbritwear.com. We will then provide you with the return address and any further instructions. Please do not send any items back to us without contacting us first.

Return Conditions

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition.
  • All original tags and labels must still be attached.
  • Items must show no signs of use — including stains, foreign odours (such as perfume or smoke), pet hair, or makeup residue.
  • For hygiene reasons, fitted garments, underwear, and made-to-order items are exempt from the right of cancellation where permitted by law.
  • Where possible, please return items in their original packaging.
  • Use of the goods beyond what is necessary for a reasonable inspection may result in a reduction of the refund amount to reflect any diminished value.

Refunds

Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will process your refund within 14 days. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed.

Please note that depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take a few additional business days for the funds to appear in your account. This is outside of our control.

Return Postage

Where no fault or defect is present, the cost of return postage is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a tracked and insured service. We cannot accept liability for items lost or damaged in transit on their way back to us.

Damaged or Faulty Items

If your order arrives damaged or with a defect, please contact us as soon as possible at info@modernbritwear.com and include photographs of the affected items and their packaging. In these cases, we will cover the cost of the return postage.

Undeliverable or Returned Parcels

If a parcel is returned to us due to an incomplete or incorrect address, a refused delivery, or an uncollected package, we reserve the right to deduct any costs incurred for the return and re-delivery from the refund amount.

Address Changes After Ordering

If you need to update your delivery address after placing an order, please contact us as soon as possible at info@modernbritwear.com. Once an order has been dispatched, we cannot guarantee that an address change can be made.
